Partial or Complete Denture in Tucson
If you have missing teeth and want to restore your smile by replacing them with prosthetics, you may consider partial dentures or complete dentures to give you a natural looking smile. Frank Son, DDS can provide dentures that fit into the mouth securely and allow you to eat and speak with no issues, improving your quality of life and increasing your confidence when smiling.
Types of Dentures
With premium dentures, you can experience relief from a lot of the problems that go along with missing teeth. These can include pain, discomfort when eating, sleep problems, and more. There are two different kinds of dentures your dentist may recommend – partials or complete dentures.
Partial dentures are used when not all of the teeth are missing in the mouth. They fill in the spaces that are left by missing teeth, keeping your remaining teeth from shifting from their proper position and causing further problems.
Complete dentures are used when patients are missing an entire arch on the bottom, top, or both arches in the mouth. They can either be immediate, which are placed after removal of a tooth, or conventional, which must be placed after the gums have healed. This can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks, but your dentist may place temporary dentures in the mouth until it has healed.
Why You May Need Dentures
Dentures are recommended to patients for various reasons, which depend on the severity of their tooth loss along with other oral health issues. Even if dentures are not recommended for you, replacing lost teeth is highly important. Your teeth work together, so missing one can cause detrimental dental problems. They also enhance your appearance, giving you a more youthful look if worn properly.
Your dentures may take some time to get used to, but they will change your smile for years to come. If you have experienced any difficulties or discomfort due to any missing teeth, visit a dentist as Frank Son, DDS by scheduling an appointment to see a dental expert and receive treatment for any dental issues you may have.
